Youth Capoeira Classes
Capoeira Regional is an amazing art that offers youth an opportunity to stay fit and healthy, while devolping leadership and teamwork skills, as well as coordination and self-control.
Plus, they are exposed to Portuguese language, learning traditional songs and their meanings. and also develop their musicality through traditional Afro-Brazilian instruments – All skills that enage FOCUS, PROBLEM-SOLVING and CONFIDENCE.
All kiddos are unique, but we generally suggest they be 6 years old to start these 50-min classes, as they will need to wait their turn, and learn moves including kicks and cartwheels!
Youth Focus is each Thursday at 5:30pm, but if they are up for it, your kiddo can join any class they want!
Our kiddos don’t need an intro class; they can just walk right in after they have registered. We do require registration for each class, and registration closes 2 hrs before class start (Once your waiver is on file, it just takes a moment to do!).
Parents are welcome to stay and watch or drop-off and come back, but our classes are not open for general observation, to keep our kiddos safe and comfortable.
Our Summer Youth Series starts June 18th!
This 6-wk series will meet Thursdays, 5:30pm.
Our Summer Family Series starts June 20th, and will meet Saturdays at 2pm. Check out our Package Deals to register for the series!
Class series for your after-school program or summer day camp, educational and interactive classroom visits, school assemblies and cultural celebrations, and student performances for parent days are what we love to offer.
Since 2015, Ondas Community has offered low cost youth programming for school-aged kiddos, including FWISD Title 1 schools, City of Fort Worth Community Centers, and the Fort Worth Library systems. We are a partial provider with FWAS, and a vendor with the Cities of Fort Worth and Dallas. Click below to learn more about our class-series and assembly style offerings.
