Our Class Series are a great way to try out something new! 

Berimbau Toques Summer Series– We will meet 4 times on select Sundays to take a deep-dive into the techniques and rhythms of Capoeira Regional Berimbau Toques, including basic notes, complex rhythms and repiques (variations), and singing while playing this beautiful instrument. You can join us in-person or online for the whole series, or just drop in for a single class.

Ancestral Dance – Afro Cuban Dance – Connect with your body, the rhythm, and nature with Master Teacher Francys Ramos, world-reknown teacher, choreographer, and performer. This 6-week series starts on June 27. We suggest ages 8+ for this class. 

Capoeira Series (Family, Youth and Adult)– This  series will introduce you to the art of Capoeira Regional, using the method created by Mestre Bimba over 100 years ago, and filled with cultural and historical context. By the end of the series you will kick, dodge and flow with confidence! We suggest ages 6+ for our Youth Series. 

Brazilian Drum & Dance (Youth + Adult)– We spend the first 45 minutes working on the rhythms and music, and the last 45 minutes learning the accompanying traditional dance, with a final performance option to show off what you have learned! Our SPRING series will feature the music and movement of Puxada de Rede, a theatrical expression of community at the edge of the sea.
